It really is a special thing when one place, such as the beloved Coon Dog Cemetary, can bring a smile or a tear to EVERYONES face. razz (stick out tongue) . The movie "Sweet Home Alabama" helped people like me, who did not know this place exsisted, become aware. And i would like to say I did become aware. I have made plans to go see this memorial, and i am sure it will bring that smile and the tears.

When I lived near Coon Ridge MO, I loved hearing the Coon Dogs on the trail.
(I rarely see a Blue Tick around here!)

I hope to see the cemetery in person, someday. Great website!

I would never have though that there would be a cemetery for coon dogs. I believe that Mr. Key Underwood has created a good thing and i hope that more dogs are barried at this cemetery. My family and i are big in coon hunting and are members of pkc and ukc... again this is a great idea and good luck with it

I have a black and tan coon dog named toby. If anything was to happen to him I would want to pay my respect to him like the men back in the day did with there dogs. I think that the dog cemertary for coon dogs only is the best thing around. smile

I am from Chicago and never been Coon Hunting. I have heard mey brother in law Floyd from Ramer Tennessee talk about coon hunting. I was driving down 72 highway and saw the sign for the coon dog cemetery. I decided to detour and pay my respects at the Coon Dog Cemetery. I'm Glad I did.

We read about this in our Fur Fish and Game magazine and wanted to learn more, we are the owners of a coon hound ourselves- Little Anne Woods. Thanks for the thoughtful gesture to all the coon hounds out there.
