I visited the cemetary in May of 2005. I had never seen anything like that up here in Oregon. I have to say I was pretty impressed by the pride that you all take in your dogs. I don't have a coon dog but have a heck of a retriever and it makes me think about how he will be honored when he is gone.
I have a picture of Ol Troop's grave hanging on my wall. It's quite the topic of conversation.

on behalf of all coonhunters in this great country, i say thanx for everything. I do believe that the coondog cemetary should be publicized more so other great hounds can be laid to rest with the other greats.

Today my husband and I picked up three more black and tans to add to our bunch. We took our son to the Coon Dog Cemetary. He was amazed. That is a great thing. I found your site under my husband's coon dog site. It is a great site. My son wouldn't leave until he looked at every site in it that he could see. He is 6 years old and loves to go huntin' with Daddy. He slept on the way home with all three dogs. :) Thanks for sharing this site with others.
